Last night, the Yankees finished the sweep of the White Sox and improved to 11 games over .500 for the first time since June 9, when they were 37-26. Unfortuntely, the Rays also won, so the Yanks remain 2.5 games back of that last Wild Card spot. Lastly, the A’s took 2 out of 3 against the Rangers and again tied them for the division lead. Rangers: 11-4 loss vs A’s. Yu Darvish roughed up against in loss.
A’s: 11-4 win vs Rangers. Coco Crisp homers again in win to tie for division lead.
Rays: 3-1 win vs Angels. Jeremy Hellickson actually pitches well in win.
Yankees: 6-5 win vs White Sox. Yanks finish sweep of White Sox with 4-out save by Mariano Rivera.
Orioles: 6-4 loss vs Indians. Zach Britton only lasts 2.1 innings.
Indians: 6-4 win vs Orioles. Indians go 5-12 with RISP, move past O’s in standings.
Royals: 6-4 loss vs Mariners. Ervin Santana only goes 3.1 innings and surrenders 4 runs in loss.
