Ivan Nova continues showing why the demotion to AAA may have been wrong as he went 6 innings and got 14 ground outs. He got into a jam after the 6th inning but the Rafael Soriano took over from the bullpen and was able to minimize the damage to just 1 run despite the bases being loaded. Despite being demoted to AAA during the season, Ivan Nova has 11 wins this season.
Curtis Granderson set a career-high for home runs with two tonight to give him 31 on the season. Robinson Cano made an attempt at outdoing his teammate but fell a single short of the cycle.
There have been clear indications that Ivan Nova will not receive another demotion, nor should he as he is second on the team in wins behind CC Sabathia.
