Freddy Garcia made a successful return from the disabled list and earned his 11th win of the season by going 6 innings and allowing just 1 run on 2 hits. David Robertson gave up his first home run this season but Mariano Rivera helped shut the door on a 3-2 victory.
The star of the offense was Nick Swisher. Swisher hit a two-run home run into right field in the 4th inning.
By going 6 innings, Freddy Garcia followed the system put in place from game 1, a quality start followed by the bridge of Rafael Soriano, David Robertson, and ultimately Mariano Rivera. Only David Robertson gave up a run on the first home run he gave up since August of last season.
