In a battle of two of the best in the American League, the Yankees emerged victorious with a score of 7-4 over the Texas Rangers.

 

In what was likely CC Sabathia’s best outing so far this season, the big lefty went 8 innings and allowed 4 runs on 7 hits with 8 strikeouts. The Yankees offense put Sabathia ahead early and he never gave up the lead.

 

The Yankees offense featured a four-hit game by Derek Jeter as he continues hitting at an unbelievable .411 average. In his 4 hits, including a double, he scored twice and drove in one run.
