Game 37: Offense, Kuroda Struggle

New York Yankees 1 — Toronto Blue Jays 8

Three home runs defeated Kuroda in tonight’s 8-1 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays.

J.P. Arencibia, Edwin Encarnacion, and Jose Bautista each went deep against the Japanese right-hander who continues to struggle on the road. Kuroda is now 0-4 away from Yankee Stadium. The home runs accounted for 6 of the 7 runs given up in 5 innings of work.

The Yankees could not figure out Blue Jays starting pitcher Kyle Drabek. The Yankees were able to get only one extra base hit on the double by Robinson Cano. This also led to the one and only run of the game as Mark Teixeira drove him in. The Yankees offense was limited to just 3 hits.

Win – Kyle Drabek (3-4)
