Game 94: Boone Blows Bartolo’s Gem

Following Bartolo Colon’s previous start, there were questions of how much he trusted his legs and how this was affecting his pitches. Tonight’s game put those questions to rest.

Bartolo Colon struck out a season-high 9 over 6.1 innings while allowing only 1 earned run. Unfortunately, a total of 3 runs scored off of Colon as his exit was with runners on base. Boone Logan entered and an error and a tough defensive play resulted in 2 runs scoring to lose the lead.

Robinson Cano continues to show that the Home Run Derby has not been detrimental to his offensive output. His two-run home run was the Yankees offense tonight.
