That game lasted far too long for me to break it down extensively. Luis Severino was exactly what we needed. We couldn’t hit Chris Sale, but not a lot of teams can. He has our number, that’s affirmed.
Matt Holliday has had so many clutch home runs for us this year. Either tying the game or giving us the lead, the dude is great and we’re in much better shape with him back.
The bullpen! The beautiful bullpen. I went into every inning thinking, there is no way we get out of this and they just kept proving me wrong! Tyler Clippard did his job! Dellin Betances looked in peak form. Chasen Shreve… Adam Warren did fantastic working out of a jam! Jonathan Holder with three, one-hit innings! Aroldis Chapman started shaky, then did his job. Ben Heller with two, no-hit innings! Everyone did their job!
