Preview – Yankees at Orioles (4/15/15)

Nathan Eovaldi (0-0, 5.06 ERA) closes out the series against Bud Norris (0-1, 24.00 ERA) and the Orioles. You probably forgot Eovaldi’s Yankees debut since it was buried in the 19 inning marathon on Friday. He hit 101 mph on the gun but Boston had good hits off him. He gave up three runs on eight hits with a single K in a 94 pitch 5 inning effort.

Norris pitched the Orioles home opener and it wasn’t pretty. The Blue Jays knocked him out of the game after just three innings in which he gave up eight runs on seven hits in 66 pitches.

Alex Rodriguez should return to the lineup after getting an off day Tuesday. He played in the first seven games of the season seeing time at first, third and DH. He is arguably the teams most productive hitter, batting .250/.357/.458 through 24 at bats.

Tidbits:

It is Jackie Robinson Day, marking the 68th anniversary of number 42 breaking the color barrier in baseball.

Adam Jones has taken the Yankees deep in both games so far. He has four homers on the season with 11 RBIs.
