Masahiro Tanaka (10-6, 3.62 ERA) and Henry Owens (2-1, 4.03 ERA) take the mound for the Yanks last game in Fenway this season. Tanaka gave up two runs in the first inning his last start against the Braves, but he settled down and allowed just one more through seven in the win. He has faced the Sox twice this year, both wins, giving up three earned runs in each. His last start in Fenway wasn’t pretty, he went just 1 2/3 innings giving up seven runs.
Owens has allowed two runs total in his last two starts taking a win and a no decision. He made his MLB debut against the Yanks back on August 4, giving up three runs through five innings taking the loss.
