Untitled

Nathan Eovaldi (1-0, 4.15 ERA) and Wade Miley (1-2, 8.62 ERA) face off in game two at Fenway. Eovaldi gave up seven hits and four runs, one homer, and six K’s his last time out against the Mets; he only lasted 4 1/3 innings so he didn’t get the win. He has allowed 31 hits in 21 2/3 innings through four starts this season.

Miley had another bad outing his last time out against Baltimore. He gave up seven runs on five hits through just 2 1/3 innings in a 18-7 beating. He hasn’t made it through six innings all season.

This will be a rematch of the April 10th 19 inning gauntlet when Eovaldi and Miley faced off in the Bronx. They each lasted 5.1 innings, Eovaldi giving up three runs on eight hits and Miley two runs on four hits. The Sox would eventually win the six hour, 49 minute game. Through his 94 pitches, Eovaldi managed just one strikeout.
