Yankees game 42 preview (5/22/15)

The Yankees come back home and Michael Pineda (5-1, 3.31 ERA) will be on the mound against Colby Lewis (3-2, 3.06 ERA) and the Rangers. Pineda followed up his incredible 16 strikeout game with a one strikeout game against the Royals. He gave up 10 hits and five earned runs through 5.1 innings to take his first loss of the year as the team got spanked 12-1. He only K’ed one but didn’t allow a walk; he still has just three on the year.

Colby gave up six runs, five earned, on seven hits through five innings against the Indians. He is 1-3 with a 5.28 ERA in five career starts against the Yankees. He faced them twice last year and each one was quality start. He took the loss at Yankee Stadium giving up three runs in 6 1/3 innings and defeated them in Texas six days later. He also beat them twice in the 2010 ALCS.
