Yankees game 44 preview (5/24/16)

The boys are back in town for a three game set against the Blue Jays. Nathan Eovaldi (4-2, 4.44 ERA) and R.A. Dickey (2-5, 4.50 ERA) kick things off in game one. Eovaldi is coming off his third straight win against the D-Backs, holding them to one run through six innings. He gave up four runs on seven hits through 6.2 innings and took a no decision against Toronto back in April.

Dickey gave up five runs on eight hits and three homers his last time out against the Rays. His 94 home runs allowed since the start of 2013 are the most in the league in that span. His three starts before that one, however, were fantastic. The knuckleballer went 1-1 with a 1.27 ERA and 12 K’s over 12.1 innings. This will be his first start against the Bombers this season. He holds a 2.92 ERA over eight games (seven starts) in the new Yankee Stadium.

Tidbits:

The Yanks are on a 5 game win streak.

Eovaldi retired the last 18 batters he faced in his last outing.

Dustin Ackley is 6-13 (.462) with two homers and seven RBIs against Dickey in his career.
