It’s Memorial Day in the States, but it’s just another day north of the border with Ivan Nova (3-2, 3.65 ERA) and Marco Estrada (2-2, 2.76 ERA) squaring off. This will be a rematch of the May 25th game, in which Estrada came away victorious and Nova took the L. He gave up four runs on seven hits through 6.2 innings and fanned eight.
Estrada has allowed five hits or fewer in seven of his nine starts this year, including his last one against the Yanks. He gave up three runs through seven innings. It was just the fourth time this season that he has allowed more than two earned runs.
