Yankees game 54 preview (6/3/16)

Two surprisingly good pitchers as of late, Nathan Eovaldi (6-2, 3.71 ERA) and Chris Tillman (7-1, 2.92 ERA), open up the series in Baltimore. Eovaldi is coming off six innings of one run ball against the Rays. He has only allowed two runs over his last three starts, spanning 18 innings. His current five game win streak is a career best.

Tillman took a no decision his last time out against Houston. He gave up two runs on three hits (one homer) across seven innings. He beat the Yanks back in May, allowing one run on five hits through seven innings. He is 7-6 with a 4.68 ERA in his career against them.

Tidbits:

Eovaldi has a 2.03 ERA and 26 K’s during his five game win streak.

Baltimore holds a 2-1 edge in the season series.

Chris Davis‘ 23 homers off the Yanks is his second most against any opponent.
