Yankees game 56 preview (6/6/15)

After narrowly escaping game one, Adam Warren (3-4, 3.75 ERA) will be on the mound against Garrett Richards (5-3, 3.26 ERA) in game two. Warren is 1-3 in his last four outings but has a 2.70 ERA in that span holding batters to a .202 average. His last time out against Oakland he went seven innings giving up just two runs, but his offense didn’t repay his efforts and he took the loss.

Richards has struggled recently, giving up 13 runs (11 earned) in 18 2/3 innings inĀ his last three starts. He did get the win his last time out however, going six innings giving up three runs. HeĀ hasn’t beatenĀ the Yankees in four career appearances (three starts), but pitched seven innings of two-run ball the last time he was in the Bronx.

 

Tidbits:

The Yankees are 64-67Ā against the Angels in the regular season, their only losing recordĀ against an AL team.

The Angels hit 17 homers in seven straight games before Friday’s loss.
