Yankees game 57 preview (6/7/15)

CC Sabathia (2-7, 5.45 ERA) is on the bump for the final game against C.J. Wilson (3-4, 3.55 ERA) and the Halos. Michael Pineda was supposed to start this game but the Yanks are skipping him to keep is innings down. Sabathia has given up 11 runs in 8 1/3 innings over his last two starts. He gave up two on nine hits through 5 2/3 innings against Seattle. He did strikeout six in that game, however.

A win today would be Sabathia’s first at home this season and would be his 200th as an American League pitcher. The last time he won in the Bronx was September 20, 2013.

Wilson gave up five runs on four hits to the Rays through six innings. He walked three and hit a batter with seven strikeouts.

Tidbits:

Albert Pujols is one stolen base away from becoming the fourth player in MLB history to hit 500 homers, steal 100 bases and bat with a career average of at least .300.

The Yanks have not lost a season series to the Angels at home since 2007.
