Yankees game 61 preview (6/13/15)

CC Sabathia (3-7, 5.25 ERA) and Bud Norris (2-4, 8.63 ERA) will be on the national stage in game two. Sabathia is coming off his first home win of the year holding the Angels to two runs through six. He has faced the O’s 31 times in his career going 18-7 with a 3.40 ERA. Lefties are hitting .164 off the big man this season.

Norris came back from bronchitis to hold the Indians to one run on four hits through five innings of work. This will be his third start against the Bombers this year. In his last start against them, he lasted just 3 1/3 innings giving up four runs on six hits in 88 pitches. He took a no decision back in April going five innings with three runs. He is 4-1 with a 4.02 ERA in six career starts against the Bombers.

 

Tidbits:

Sabathia’s last win was his first at home since September 20, 2013.

Norris gets the most run support of all the Oriole pitchers, averaging 6.68 runs per start.

ARod is six hits from 3,000.
