The 22 year old lefty was the teams second round pick in the 2014 draft. He quickly rose to the big leagues due to his eletric pitching throughout the minors.
In seven relief appearances out of the Yankees bullpen, Lindgren allowed four runs on five hits, eight strikeouts, four walks, and allowed three home runs over seven innings pitched in pinstripes this season with an ERA of 5.14.
Lindgren, who is a product of Mississippi State, was called up on May 25th after dominating Triple-A this season where he went 1-1 and posted an ERA of 1.23 with three saves. He tossed 22 innings during his Triple-A stint.
