Hallelujah. Andrew Miller is getting closer to returning to the Yankees’ bullpen. Miller will play catch on Wednesday for the first time since heading to the DL. The leftie injured his flexor muscle in his throwing arm, and hasn’t pitched since June 9th.
If Miller can return to his previous dominant form, the bullpen will immediately receive a boost. The Yankees have used 20 pitchers total so far this June, due to poor performances and numerous injuries. The combination of Miller and Dellin Betances is one of the best in the league when both are healthy.
