Aaron Judge voted Card No. 1 for Topps in 2018

Add Card Number 1 for Topps to the list of accolades the reigning AL Rookie of the Year has amassed. Voted for by thousands of fans, the announcement that Aaron Judge would receive the honor was made Monday on MLB Network.

“It’s exciting to be voted to be on Card No. 1 for Topps by the fans,” Judge said. “Collecting baseball cards is a longtime tradition and it will beΒ fun seeing kids with their new Topps cards at the ballpark.”

“Aaron Judge transcended baseball during his record-breaking rookie season,” said Topps Global General Manager David Leiner. “Fans from across the league were excited to see him play so it comes as no surprise they voted for him to be Card No. 1 in this year’s set. We are thrilled to add him to the list of great players that have been featured on the first card of the year.”

Judge joins the ranks of Jackie Robinson, Ted Williams, and Derek Jeter, to name a few, as those who have claimed Card Number 1. Mike Trout and Kris Bryant earned the honor the last two seasons, respectively.

You can pick up the newest Topps Judge card when the 2018 Baseball Series 1 hits stores on January 31.
