David Robertson Hurts Foot Off-Field

David Robertson hurt his right foot Wednesday after falling down some stairs while moving a set of boxes.  A freak accident that hopefully wont keep Robertson out for long.  This is something to follow with his right foot being Robertson’s drive foot.

X-rays came back negative, but Robertson was also sent for an MRI and is wearing a walking boot. We should know more about the timeline for his return after all test results are in.  The 26-year-old right-hander was one of the best relievers in baseball last season, posting a ridiculous 1.08 ERA and 100/35 K/BB ratio over 66 2/3 innings.
UPDATE 3.9

David Robertson (foot) is using crutches and is wearing a walking boot.

Yankees manager Joe Girardi also admitted Thursday that an MRI on Robertson’s foot showed “cause for concern.” Despite all this, the reliever said Friday morning that he’s feeling better and hopes the injury is only a short-term one. The Yanks are awaiting word from a foot specialist and hope to know more about Robertson’s status Friday afternoon.
