Brett Gardner will be out until at least Friday according to Joe Girardi. After being hit on the wrist last night, Gardner was taken out of the game. The X-Rays came back negative on his wrist and Girardi is hopeful he can play this weekend against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Girardi hopes to have Gardner back in the lineup by Friday at the Trop.
The Yankees have a day off Thursday before heading to Tampa Bay to play the Rays. Girardi has not ruled out the possibility of pinch running Gardner or having him come in late in the game as a defensive replacement.
