Throughout Derek Jeter‘s career, we’ve seen his family front and center. They’ve cheered him on from the stands, whether it was a game in April or a World Series game in October. For Hannah Davis, Jeter’s fiancĂ©, that’s a big reason why she fell for him when they began dating.
“I wanted someone whose family is a big, important part of their life,” Davis said in an interview with the NY Post. As for trying to impress your significant other with material things? “I think that’s lame,” she admitted. I guess DJ can lock away those five championship rings.
Jeter really is a fascinating guy. We watched him for 20 years so we feel like we know him, but he’s incredibly private for a superstar, which is just fine with Mrs. Jeter. “I feel like I have to share every other part of my life. It’s that one part that’s a little bit of a mystery to people, but that’s the way we want it,” she said. “The only way to protect it is not to talk about it.”
Although they haven’t set a wedding date yet, Davis says she’s unfazed. “I’m not a worrier. There’s no point. My philosophy is to let everyone else worry.”
She’s calm and cool just like The Captain. Seems like they’re a perfect match.
