MRI Showed No Structural Damage To Teixeira’s Wrist

This morning’s MRI on Teixeira’s wrist showed no structural damage. Teixeira has been diagnosed with inflammation in his left wrist and given cortisone injection. The Yankees say he will be reevaluated in three days.

Teixeira actually injured his wrist during an at bat Sunday against the Boston Red Sox.

The 32-year-old first baseman was evaluated by Dr. Christopher Ahmad and Dr. Melvin Rosenwasser at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
