Starlin Castro red hot at Yankee Stadium

Yankee Stadium has been kind to hitters in the past, but one player in particular who has gotten off to a hot start this year donning the pinstripes is Starlin Castro.

While early in the season, the fresh bat of Castro is off to a blazing start. He is currently hitting .480 in six games played in the Bronx including two homeruns and eight RBI on the young season. Overall, Castro is batting at a .310 clip.

Compare that to the road so far on the season, where he is hitting just .059 in 17 at-bats, Yankee Stadium has been welcoming to the new starting second baseman. However, he did pick up an important milestone on the road, his 1,000 career hitย in Detroit.

Last yearย at Wrigley Field as his home park in 241 at-bats, he hit just .245 with three homers the whole season, adding on 29 RBI.

In his entire career as a Cub, the 26-year-old hit .277 at home while blasting a total of 26 home runs. This came during his seven years in the north side of Chicago.

A fan favorite in New York already because of his excitement and engagement with fans, a bat this hot of Castro may only strengthen the fandom of him in the Bronx as the season moves forward. Hit away Starlin.
