Yankees acquire minor league RHP from Pirates

In just another one of the many trades that have been executed between the Yankees and the Pittsburgh Pirates over the years. The player to be named later in the trade of Johnny Barbato has been named.

The Yankees have acquired minor league right hander Matt Frawley from Pittsburgh to complete the deal for Barbato from April 17th. The 21-year-old right hander was drafted by the Pirates in the 17th round of the 2016 MLB June Amateur Draft out of Purdue University. In two seasons of A-ball, with the West Virginia Power, Frawley compiled a 6-2 record with a 2.66 era over 64.1 innings.

Frawley will report to Class-A affiliate Charleston.
