Brett Gardner will not pick up a bat for 10 days after aggravating the muscle near his right elbow.
Gardner was expected to be activated from the disabled list Thursday after playing in two minor league rehab games, but he’s now back to square one. Yankees manager Joe Girardi said that he’ll likely miss 15-25 days, which places his return in late May or early June. Andruw Jones, Eduardo Nunez, Raul Ibanez, Jayson Nix and DeWayne Wise should all continue to see playing time in the outfield for now.
