After using the entire bullpen last night, the Yankees are in need of a fresh arm. According to Railriders beat writer Shane Hennigan, the team has called up righty reliever Ben Heller.

Heller, 25, was acquired in the Andrew Miller deal at the trade deadline. He began the year at double-A Akron and pitched to an 0.55 ERA over 16.1 innings, and a 2.49 ERA over 25.1 innings for Columbus, Cleveland’s triple-A affiliate. He pitched in just 3.1 innings for Scranton, but allowed zero runs.

Heller was drafted in the 22nd round of the 2013 draft by the Indians out of Olivet Nazarene University. He throws in the mid to upper nineties, and will likely be the only player from the Miller deal to appear in the big leagues this season.

The Yankees have not confirmed the roster move yet.
