The Yankees announce that they reassigned seven players to their minor league camp. Infielders Cole Figueroa and Jonathan Galvis, catchers Francisco Arcia and Kyle Higashioka, outfielder Slade Heathcott, and pitchers Jacob Lindgren and Nick Rumbelow have all been sent down.

There is really no surprises here except for Lindgren who has pitched extremely well this spring and was considered to be in competition for a spot in the bullpen. However, he has only pitched 11.1 innings above Class A in the minors. He figures to be called up sooner rather than later. That also is a good sign for Chasen Shreve who appears to have a real good shot at making the team. Â
The Yankees have also optioned Ramon Flores to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Flores had a decent spring hitting a couple home runs but the Yankees outfield is set so there was no room for him this year. Â
