The New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox are set to make history next season by being the first two Major League Baseball teams to ever play in Europe.
In an announcement by the Major League Baseball Players Association, Major League Baseball, and the Mayor of London, the Yankees and Red Sox will play a two-game series in London on June 29-30 at London Stadium next summer.

The Red Sox will be the home team for the two-game series.
London Stadium was the site of the 2012 London Olympic Games. The stadium’s capacity for the series will be around 55,000. Major League Baseball also has a deal to have a two-game series in London during the 2020 season, but the teams for the series have yet to be chosen.
The United Kingdom joins Puerto Rico, Mexico, Japan, and Australia as other international venues for regular season games.
