Bronx Bombers home run alert A-Rod and Tex

Keeping tabs on every home run for the New York Yankees this season. Ah if only they would hit them with runners on base. An all too familiar refrain. So far on the big fly chart, its been all shots of the solo variety for the New York Yankees. Brett Gardner on Opening Day and then closing out their series against the Toronto Blue Jays, Alex Rodriguez and Mark Teixeira went deep to left in the sixth inning against Daniel Norris.

If three is a trend, all three of the Yanks home runs have come in the sixth inning this season. Who knew?

For A-Rod, his A-Bomb (is that acceptable, AP style book?) was his first of the year, home run number 310 as a Yankee and 655 on his career.

Teixeira’s tater, also his first, marked 161 in Pinstripes and RBI 500 with the Bronx Bombers, as well as career home run number 364.

New York has totaled three home runs on the early campaign.
