David Robertson Feeling Good After Bullpen Session

Yankees reliever David Robertson threw a pain-free, 25-pitch bullpen session earlier today. Robertson said he wasn’t thinking about his foot at all, just pitched the way he normally would and felt good after.

“I expect to be back in a game this time next week,” Robertson said.

On March 7, Robertson rolled his right ankle after falling down some stairs at his home while carrying a set of boxes.

Robertson is scheduled to throw another bullpen session on Tuesday, after which he’ll either throw a live batting practice or jump straight into a game.

No one expects this injury will keep Robertson from being available for Opening Day.
