Solo home runs got to Hughes in today's loss.

Hughes to make rehab start Saturday

Phil Hughes is inching towards rejoining the big league team, as he will make a rehab start with Triple-A Scranton Wilkes-Barre on Saturday, according to a story written by Yanks beat writer Bryan Hoch.

Hughes, who was sidelined for most of spring training with bulging discs in his back, pitched seven innings in an extended spring training game on Monday in Tampa and reported no problems.

Hughes is eligible to come off the disabled list on Saturday, but his start that day will line him up to possibly return on April 11 at Cleveland. Barring any setbacks, look for David Phelps to be moved into the bullpen when Hughes returns in about a week.
