Yankees relief pitcher, Joba Chamberlain, will be activated from the disabled list in time for tonight’s game. Chamberlain was scheduled to make what was likely his final minor league rehab appearance with Double-A Trenton tonight.

The 26-year-old hasn’t pitched in the majors since June 5, 2011. Since then, Chamberlain has undergone Tommy John surgery, an appendectomy and dislocated his right ankle and torn his right MCL.

Chamberlain appeared in seven minor league games during his rehab, and pitched to a 0.96 ERA in 9 1/3 innings.

There will be no roster moves tonight for Joba who replaces right-handed reliever, Chad Qualls. When Casey McGehee arrives with the club tomorrow, Ramiro Pena likely gets sent to Triple-A Scranton.
