Michael Pineda (shoulder) will throw two innings in an extended spring training game Saturday.
If that goes well, he could be cleared to start a minor league rehab assignment. Pineda has been throwing without incident to this point, though we haven’t heard any reports on how his velocity has been. He should be ready to rejoin the Yankees rotation sometime in May, barring any setbacks.
