Ellsbury Steals the Show – The Bronx Pinstripes Show #71

BP Show 71: The Yankees were able to salvage an otherwise ugly week with a series win vs Tampa. Mailbag’s about the lineup construction, Ivan Nova, Dellin Betances, and a conspiracy theory about the Yankees payroll.

ARod’s oblique injury comes at a bad time since Aaron Hicks is already banged-up and unavailable for 4-5 games. With an upcoming 9 game road trip, the Yankees will have to make a roster move because they cannot carry just 23 playable guys. The MRI on ARod’s injury came back negative, which is good news, and he will travel to Texas with the team, but it is still unknown how long he’ll be out for. If anybody, we expect Ben Gamel to get the call from Scranton since he can provide outfield depth.
