The offseason is finally over and we have made it to Opening Day – time to get fired up! BP Show 66 topics: Andrew Miller‘s wrist injury and if he will struggle because of it, Bryan Mitchell‘s unfortunate toe turf and how it affects the rest of the bullpen, final spring training notes including Tanaka getting the Opening Day start, CC being named 5th starter and the final roster spots, what we’re most looking forward to this season, and what player will be the x-factor on the 2016 Yanks. Then we discuss the opening series vs Houston, preview the Blue Jays and Rays, and make predictions on who will make the playoffs across major league baseball.

Andrew Miller’s wrist injury is definitely a concern. First of all, you have to give him credit for being a gamer and pitching through it. So far the signing of Miller has been a great move for the Yankees – he’s been lights-out on the mound and is a team-first guy. My only concern is that his injury may be a mental thing and negatively affect him on the mound until it’s healed. While I fully expect the Yankees bullpen to be a strength this season, April will be interesting with Chapman suspended, Mitchell out, and now Miller a slight question-mark. If this pen can get through April unscathed, they will be poised for a great season.
