It was a long holiday weekend of sports, including some wild NFL games. We recap those, including the Giant’s loss to the Redskins, Jets win over the fish, and controversial Patriots-Broncos game. We also discuss Kobe’s retirement poem on the Players’ Tribune our feelings on his career overall.
MLB free agency has been moving slowly, but there have been a couple of signings that impact the Yankees. Jordan Zimmerman is going to the Tigers, JA Happ signed with the Jays for a hefty $12M per year, and former Yankee Chris Young going to Boston. We talk about what each of those signings mean for the Yankees and how it has set the market for other free agents.
Scott and I also talk about what the 2016 Yankees starting rotation will look like and if they should target a pitcher in free agency. There are a lot of questions going into next season surrounding the starting staff: How will CC rebound from a poor season and alcohol rehab? Will the Yankees trade Nova? Will Adam Warren be in the bullpen or starting rotation? Can Pineda and Tanaka stay healthy? We discuss it all.
