Rivera to be honored before game 2

Baseball fans will get one last glimpse of Mariano Rivera tonight, as the future Hall-of-Famer will be honored prior to Game 2 of the World Series.

Commissioner Bud Selig will present Rivera with the Commissioner’s Historic Achievement Award, which is given to recognize contributions of historical significance in Major League Baseball. Only 11 men have been given the award, with Ken Griffey Jr. being the last recipient back in 2011.

The all-time saves leader will be joined on the field at Fenway Park with his wife, Clara, and their three sons. Game 2 will go on the air at 7:30 p.m. ET on FOX, with first pitch coming at 8:07.
