The Yankees will split squads and take on the Atlanta Braves from George M. Steinbrenner Field, and the Marlins in Panama. Masahiro Tanaka will get the start at The Boss, as fans will have a front row seat to watch their new star pitcher. Jacoby Ellsbury was originally slated in as the leadoff hitter and center fielder, but was scratched last minute due to tightness in his right calf. Manager Joe Girardi said he isn’t concerned, and that the move to pull Ellsbury was precautionary. Girardi also said Ellsbury will not make the trip to Bradenton tomorrow to play the Pirates.
