Successful sim game for CC

CC Sabathia cleared another hurdle today and could be lining up for his first real start sometime next week.

Sabathia threw 29 pitches over two innings in the sweltering heat on a back field at the Yankees complex. He reported no problems with his surgically repaired right knee. The 34 year old lefty made just eight starts last year before being sidelined the rest of the season. He had surgery on July 23, 2014.

Sabathia is one of many question marks in the starting rotation. In the past, he was relied heavily upon to eat up innings and make quality starts. The Yankees just hope he can stay healthy. Today was an encouraging sign as the season quickly approaches.
