Today’s game did not go well in a 17-5 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays.
Kevin Youkilis shined of the offense with two hits, a triple in the 5th inning and a home run in the 1st inning. Jayson Nix, Corban Joseph, and Jose Pirela all brought in a run with doubles.
The pitching of today’s game featured many players that won’t make it on the Opening Day roster. Jose Ramirez entered today’s game with 9 scoreless innings this Spring but only managed to get one out in today’s blow out. He allowed six runs on two hits and four walks. Adam Warren took over and didn’t fair well in his 1.1 innings of work. He allowed eight runs on four hits with five walks. Relievers Josh Spence and Graham Stoneburner were able to hold the Blue Jays off of the scoreboard. Former Yankee Melky Cabrera was able to bring in four runs today.
