Keeping tabs on every home run for the New York Yankees this season. The Yanks powered themselves back into this one but couldn’t keep the Baltimore Orioles locked down, in a 9-4 loss at Camden Yards. In a losing effort, the Bombers power source was Alex Rodriguez.
With the Yankees trailing 4-2 in the sixth, A-Rod crushed a 1-2 pitch from Bud Norris, sending it to the seats in right-center. A-Rod’s two-run tater tied the contest at four and gave New York some life. The blast was number 12 on the season for A-Rod, number 666 of his career and number 321 in his Bronx tenure.

On his home run, A-Rod became the second player in MLB history to eclipse the 2,000 RBI mark, driving in runs 2,000 and 2,001.
