Keeping tabs on every home run for the New York Yankees this season. In their 9-4 victory against the Miami Marlins, the long ball played an instrumental role for the Pinstripes. Brett Gardner and Carlos Beltran provided the punch.
Down 3-1 in the sixth, Gardner smoked a 2-0 pitch off Mat Latos, for a two-run shot to right, knotting the contest at three. It was Gardner’s sixth home run of the campaign and number 46 of his Yankee career.

A frame later, the Yanks were playing power ball again. On a full count, Beltran bashed the eventual winner off Mike Dunn. The two-run bomb to left-center, gave the Yankees a 5-3 advantage. It was Beltran’s fifth of the season, 20th as a Yankee and the 378th of his career.
