Keeping tabs on every home run for the New York Yankees this season. The Yanks had some pop but the Detroit Tigers had a lot more, as the Bronx Bombers fell 12-4. Brian McCann and Stephen Drew (twice) went deep for New York.
During the second inning, McCann jumped the Yankees off the mat, homering off a first pitch splitter from Anibal Sanchez. McCann’s tenth home run of the season, to right-center, inched the Yanks to within five, at 6-1. McCann has 33 home runs with the Yankees and 209 on his career.

In the seventh, Drew drilled a two-run shot to right, off Sanchez. Drew’s tenth of the campaign, cut the Detroit lead to 12-3.

Moving to the ninth, Drew ripped his second of the contest. Drew’s drive to right, was his eleventh of the year, pulling the Yankees to within eight.
The Yankees now have 92 home runs in 2015.
