Keeping tabs on every home run for the New York Yankees this season. It’s not what you want but it was essentially all the offense the Yankees could muster in an 8-2 loss at the Chicago White Sox. Harold Baines and Ron Kittle Alexei Ramirez and Melky Cabrera went yard for the ChiSox and their 1983 inspired uniforms. For the Bronx Bombers, Brian McCann did the south side slugging.
With the Yankees down 8-1 in the ninth, McCann, pinch hitting for John Ryan Murphy, smacked a solo shot to right, making it an 8-2 game. McCann’s homer off Zach Putnam, was number 17 on the year.
McCann sends one deep to right for his 17th homer. #Yankees trail 8-2 in the 9th.
