Bronx Bombers home run alert

Keeping tabs on every home run for the New York Yankees this season. It was quality over quantity as the Yankees were outhit (16-10) but not outscored (8-7) in a ten-inning victory against the Minnesota Twins. Brian McCann had a huge evening and Carlos Beltran (much more comfortable under the lights) kept his hot bat going.

Back in the Bronx, the Bombers were bustling in the first frame. On former Yankee catcher Jorge Posada’s birthday, their current backstop McCann was locked in. With two aboard, McCann launched a three-run smash to right, off Kyle Gibson. Hitting number 21 on the campaign, McCann staked New York to a 3-0 advantage.

As the contest progressed to the sixth, with the Yankees down 7-5, Beltran clocked a two-run tater to left. The equalizer off Brian Duensing, was number 13 on the year for Beltran and squared the game at seven up.

The Bronx Bombers have 158 home runs.
