Bronx Bombers home run alert

Keeping tabs on every home run for the New York Yankees this season. When the New York Mets lifted starting pitcher Matt Harvey, the Yankees offense got off the mat. Home runs from Dustin Ackley and Greg Bird, were part of an offensive outburst and an 11-2 Yanks victory.


With the Yankees ahead 2-1 in the sixth, Ackley smacked a three-run homer to right, off Hansel Robles. Ackley’s eighth of the year made it 5-1 Yankees.

Capping the scoring in the eighth was Bird’s three-run shot to left center, off Tim Stauffer. The home run was also Bird’s eighth of the campaign and made it 11-1 Yankees.

On the season the Bronx Bombers have 202 home runs.
