With the game squared at two in the eighth, Beltran swatted a solo shot to right, off Liam Hendriks. Beltran’s home run was his 17th of the season and made it 3-2 Yankees.

Then with the game knotted again in the tenth, Bird drilled a three-run round tripper to right, off Mark Lowe. Bird’s go-ahead and eventual game winning home run was his tenth of the year and gave the Yanks a 6-3 advantage.
