Keeping tabs on every home run for the New York Yankees this season. The Greg Bird show was in full force, as the Bombers swept the Minnesota Twins with a 4-3 matinee victory. Bird clocked his first and second career home runs and provided all the punch the Yanks needed. While you hate to be missing a guy with 31 home runs, it sure is fun to see what a kid like Bird can do.

During a scoreless fourth, Bird jump started the New York offense, launching a two-run homer to right, off Ervin Santana. Bird’s first career home run staked the Yankees to a 2-0 advantage.

In the sixth, with the Yankees trailing 3-2, Bird smoked another two-run tater to right, again off Santana. Bird’s second, gave the Yankees a 4-3 edge and the eventual win.
